Description
In this workbook – Self Care Isn’t Selfish – you will look at what self care means to you and how to re-introduce it into your life again. As women, we are particularly good at putting everyone else first and for some inexplicable reason, we feel guilty for taking time to look after ourselves but with some simple tips, self care will become part off our life, improving both your physical and mental health.
What will you learn?
- What self-care looks like for you and whether we need to find a new and improved version that serves you as you are today?
- Identifying the areas in your life that need balance, including ways to create a little extra time through learning to prioritise and sometimes say “no” to others in order to say “yes” to yourself.
- Practical exercises to reintroduce self-care into your life
- Breaking the habits that we have learned and the belief that self-care is selfish
- Creating an action plan to allow you to put yourself first!
For me, the analogy that we use in life coaching where we talk about getting on a plane watching the safety demonstration which insists, we put our own oxygen masks on first before helping others – well that’s what we need to do with self-care. If we are looking after ourselves, being the best versions of ourselves that we can be, we will be in a far greater position to look after those around us.
So, put your oxygen mask on and let’s work through these exercises together learning that self-care is NOT selfish.
